Folding at home is a distributed computing project which was begun by the students at Stanford University. The students at East Carolina have partnered with Standford in their attempts to research many of the worlds worst ailments. Their goal is to simulate the folding of protiens for research and the hope that it would lead to discovering cures for many of todays most heartbreaking illnesses. These illnesses include:
